As of January 2022, Dr. Enrique Napoleón Ulate Chacón, Professor at Universidad de Costa Rica, takes over as Director-Editor of the magazine. Dr. Jorge Enrique Romero-Pérez, Professor Emeritus, will continue as Honorary Director-Editor, after 47 years of his continuous and prolific work. With this issue 160, January-April 2023, Revista de Ciencias Jurídicas celebrates its 60th anniversary by publishing a special edition. On this occasion, this journal has the contribution of articles related to Constitutional Law, dialog and conflict between Constitutional Courts and the Inter-American Court of Human Rights, consumer rights, human rights, new rights, regarding the right to mental integrity, protection of rights of native communities originating in the jurisprudence of the African Court of Human Rights, Environmental Law and environmental safeguards. As of this issue 160, Revista de Ciencias Jurídicas has formalized the evaluation process by external peer examiners, aimed at improving the quality of the journal and guaranteeing that contributions comply with editorial rules. Likewise, a process of renewal of the International Scientific Committee has begun, with participation of experts committed to academic and research excellence from various parts of the world. We thank Professor M. L. Carmen Carazo Coronado, from Universidad de Costa Rica, for her valuable collaboration in the review and correction of the abstracts and key words of the articles published in the various issues of this journal. Likewise, we are sincerely thankful to the support team of the Vice-Rector for Research of Universidad de Costa Rica, particularly to Mr. Jorge Polanco Cortés and Mrs. Daysi Arroyo Mora, for their accurate and valuable collaboration. We appreciate the collaboration of assistant José Daniel García Murillo and Karen Villalobos Alarcón as part of the technical team.
