Resumen
Objetivo. Identificar las características teóricas y metodológicas, y los resultados de estudios empíricos sobre la socialización parental de la emoción en diversos grupos culturales no occidentales. Método. Se realizó una revisión integrativa de la literatura con un enfoque cualitativo. Resulatdos. Los resultados mostraron que los principales enfoques teóricos fueron los ecológicos y el modelo heurístico de socialización de las emociones. En cuanto la metodología, predominaron estudios cuantitativos con mayor presencia de madres. Los resultados señalan que existen variaciones en la socialización de la emoción en varios aspectos: funcionamiento de los niños, expresión emocional, reacción a las emociones de los niños, etnoteorías parentales, narrativa emocional y otros. Se discuten las implicaciones de estos hallazgos para futuras investigaciones.
