Resumen

El presente artículo consiste en un tratamiento de relajación con equipo de biofeedback que tiene como objetivo la reducción de los tics en un estudiante universitario con el síndrome de tourette. Dicho padecimiento es un desorden neuropsiquiátrico que presenta movimientos espontáneos y repetitivos conocidos como tics. La relajación se induce por medio de respiración diafragmática y con el método conocido como relajación muscular progresiva a lo largo de 5 sesiones. Se logra reducir el número de tics en más de un 50% para la sexta sesión.
