Abstract

Introduction: Social Work requires adapting to new needs, orienting their professional practice to respond to emerging events, for this reason, adjustments are made to the intervention processes.

Objective/ purpose: In this sense, the present work purpose to describe the professional competencies of Social Work for the socio-economic assessment of applicants to one of the baccalaureate programs of the State of Yucatán, Mexico in the current context due to covid-19.

Method: Therefore, a systematic review was used, based on the formulation of the problem of identifying the professional competencies of the graduates of the Bachelor's Degree Program in Social Work of the Autonomous University of Yucatán who provide their professional services in the last two editions of the Project Assessment of the Socioeconomic Situation of the Applicant to the High School Academic Unit with Community Interaction, which is necessary for the socio-economic assessment of the environment. In this way and based on the series of steps proposed by this method, the location and selection of the primary studies continued; evaluation of the methodological quality of the studies; data extraction; analysis and presentation of results.

Results:  As main results, it has been identified that for the socio-economic assessment competencies are required from both disciplinary and professional training, thus facilitating the application of the criteria required for data triangulation, parameters established by national organizations, and identifying the vulnerabilities present in the context of the study subject.
