Henry David Thoreau (1817-1962) es un naturalista y escritor estadounidense. Él es mejor conocido por Walden (1854), un relato de su experimento en el que viven solas en Walden Pond, cerca de Concord, Massachusetts, para observar la vida de los bosques.
