Edited in the Universidad de Costa Rica, its objective is to disseminate original scientific information in Spanish or English language, through the publication of articles, short communications, technical notes and literature reviews, related with food and agriculture sciences from anywhere in the world, emphasized in tropical and subtropical zones. </p> <p>Agronomía Mesoamericana implements interoperability protocols that allow the journal to be harvested by other content distribution systems. <p>Agronomía Mesoamericana is celebrating two years of continuous publication in 2023. In this first approach to the immediacy of communications, the journal has been working with three annual issues with specific closing dates in January, May, and September. However, based on the editing process, it has been possible to identify that these closing periods are not the best option with the current methodology, which is why by 2024, we will be working with a single volume that will begin publication in January and close in December.</p> <p>Agronomía Mesoamericana is characterized by always seeking continuous improvement, this change is no exception and is considered a good practice in journals of continuous publication, since the periodicity of the issues disappears, so now the way of referencing works published in Agronomía Mesoamericana will be only the volume, article number, and doi.</p> <p>The continuous publication in the indicated form seeks to make the processes even more agile, since it will not be necessary to create issues for each volume and the SciELO and Redalyc databases allow their systems to incorporate documents under this modality.</p> <p>As a result of this change, the last issue of volume 34, i.e., 34(3), will change its closing date to December 2023.</p> <p>Agronomía Mesoamericana is also pleased to inform readers and researchers that the editorial team is working on further reduce the editing and publication times of papers submitted for publication in the journal. In addition, Dr. Jessie Usaga was incorporated as technical editor for the Food Technology area, which allows us to have a prior decision on the relevance of the papers in this field according to the scope of the journal.</p> <p>&nbsp;</p> <p>Ing.
